Cross Bayou

Cross Bayou rises six miles southwest of Waskom in southeastern Harrison County (at 32°26' N, 94°09' W) and runs northeast for 15½ miles, through southeastern Harrison County and Caddo Parish in Louisiana, to its mouth on Cross Lake, three miles northwest of Shreveport, Louisiana (at 32°31' N, 93°45' W). The banks of the stream are heavily wooded in places with pine and hardwood trees. It traverses nearly level to rolling terrain surfaced by loamy and clayey soils used predominantly for agriculture.
