Indian Mountain is about nineteen miles northwest of Burnet and two miles east of the Colorado River in northwestern Burnet County (at 30°58' N, 98°25' W). It stands at an elevation of 1,426 feet above sea level, rising more than 100 feet above the surrounding countryside.
