Indian Mountain is five miles southwest of Gorman and three miles west of State Highway 679 in northwestern Comanche County (at 32°09' N, 98°44' W). With an elevation of 1,450 feet, its summit rises 150 feet above State Highway 679. The peak was named in the late nineteenth century; one of the last Indian fights in northwestern Comanche County occurred there.
