Indian Mountain is at the Kinney county line in extreme south central Edwards County (at 29°38' N, 100°17' W). The peak rises to a height of 2,118 feet, 365 feet above nearby Dry Sycamore Creek. The local terrain is flat with local deep and dense dissections and is surfaced by shallow, stony soils that support oak, juniper, and mesquite.
