The Indianola Historical Society was formed at Cuero in April 1930, by former citizens of Indianola and their descendants, with M. M. McFarland as president. The society met annually at Port Lavaca. Annual reunions were still held into the 1940s, but by the latter part of the twentieth century no information was available on the society.
