Johns Creek rises just east of Pecan Gap and south of Farm Road 128 in extreme northwestern Delta County (at 33°27' N, 95°50' W) and runs eleven miles southeast to its mouth on the South Sulphur River, west of Deep Well Crossing and two miles southwest of Klondike (at 33°18' N, 95°42' W). The stream traverses low-lying floodplains, surfaced by mud, sand, and gravel over dark clay. Local vegetation includes water-tolerant grasses, conifers, and hardwoods.
