Loving, Migginson (1797–1866)

Migginson Loving, legislator, was born on August 3, 1797, in Livingston, Nelson County, Virginia, son of William and Elizabeth (Fortune) Loving. Loving married Nancy Ann Phillips on December 25, 1822, in Madison County, Alabama; they had nine children. Loving moved to Titus (now Morris) County, Texas, and he listed himself as a farmer in the 1850 Federal census. Loving represented Titus County in the Fifth Texas State Legislature from 1853–1854. He died on November 15, 1866, and was buried at the Loving Cemetery near Rocky Branch, Morris County.
