Lucknow was a post office community three miles south of the site of present Woden in southeastern Nacogdoches County. The post office operated from 1858 to 1859; at one time there were several stores and a gin in the area. The community apparently began to decline after the Civil War, and by the 1880s it was no longer shown on maps.
