Bill Groneman Biography Entry

Edward McCafferty, Alamo defender, was a resident of Refugio County who served in the Alamo garrison with the rank of lieutenant. He may have been one of the volunteers who accompanied James Bowie to the Alamo, where he died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
