Nanatsoho Indians
The Nanatsoho (Nadsoo, Natsoho, Natsvto) Indians, a Caddoan tribe, lived on the Red River during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in the area that is now Bowie and Red River counties. They were one of the four tribes of the Kadohadacho group, which also included the Kadohadacho, Nasoni (upper), and Natchitoches (upper) Indians. Early in the nineteenth century the Nanatsohos lost their ethnic identity. It seems likely that remnants of the Nanatsoho Indians were absorbed by the Kadohadachos and that their descendants were living with the Caddo Indians, who now reside in Caddo County, Oklahoma.
