Ojo de Agua Creek rises four miles northeast of Runge in eastern Karnes County (at 28°55' N, 97°40' W) and runs southwest for eight miles to its mouth on the San Antonio River, just west of the Runge oilfield (at 28°50' N, 97°43' W). It is intermittent in its upper reaches. The surrounding flat to rolling terrain is surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
