Olmos Creek (Bexar County)

Olmos Creek rises in the northwestern portion of San Antonio in northern Bexar County (at 29°33' N, 98°35' W) and runs southeast for fifteen miles to its mouth on the San Antonio River, just north of downtown San Antonio (at 29°28' N, 98°28' W). The stream is dammed midway through its course by the Olmos Dam. It traverses rolling terrain surfaced by clay loam that supports mesquite, liveoak, and grasses.
