Pendell was near the eastern bank of the Bosque River five miles northwest of Valley Mills and twenty-three miles northwest of Waco in southern Bosque County. The population of Pendell was estimated at twenty to twenty-five in the 1940s, when a service station was the only operating business. The settlement had apparently been abandoned by 1950, and Pendell did not appear on the 1984 Bosque County highway map.
