Rattlesnake Creek (Montague County)

Rattlesnake Creek rises in northwest Montague County (at 33°43' N, 97°54' W) 2½ miles north of Stoneburg and runs northeast for 3½ miles to its mouth (at 33°45' N, 97°54' W) on Belknap Creek five miles southeast of Ringgold. Flat terrain is surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses. The area has been used primarily as rangeland.
