The Texas Export Railroad was chartered on December 29, 1972, and in 1973 acquired fifty-four miles of track from the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad that stretched from Bridgeport to Graham. In 1976 the railroad was abandoned. The Texas Export was financed, in part, by the Small Business Administration.
