Trammel, Burke (1810–1836)

Bill Groneman Biography Entry

Burke Trammel, Alamo defender, was born in Ireland in 1810 and traveled to Texas from Tennessee. He took part in the siege of Bexar. He later served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William R. Carey's artillery company. Trammel died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
