White Water Creek

General

White Water Creek rises two miles north of Newcastle in central Young County (at 33°14' N, 98°43' W) and runs northeast for four miles to its mouth on Salt Creek, six miles southwest of Jean (at 33°15' N, 98°40' W). Much of the area surrounding the creek is made up of oilfields and ranchland. The rolling prairies are surfaced by clay loams that support mesquite and grasses.
