MUSE, KINDRED H.
MUSE, KINDRED H. (1801–1845). Kindred H. Muse, early Nacogdoches legislator, was born in South Carolina in 1801. He moved to Texas in 1837 and settled in Nacogdoches County, where he eventually acquired a large amount of property. In January 1838 he was serving as clerk and registrar of the land office. He represented Nacogdoches in the House of the Third and Fourth congresses and in the Senate of the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh congresses. He died on May 3, 1845.
