NEW KATY, TX

NEW KATY, TEXAS. New Katy is on U.S. Highway 290 fifteen miles northeast of Austin in northeastern Travis County. Several scattered houses and a school marked the community on county highway maps in the 1940s, but only the place name was shown on maps in the 1980s. No population estimates were available. By 2000 New Katy was no longer shown on county highway maps.
