WELLS CREEK, TX
WELLS CREEK, TEXAS. Wells Creek is on the Missouri Pacific Railroad, Farm Road 3266, and Wells Creek four miles east of Palestine in eastern Anderson County. The community is named for the nearby creek, which is in turn named for Samuel G. Wells, who owned the land grant on which the community and much of the stream are located. In the 1930s the community had a flag stop station and several scattered dwellings; in 1982 only a single residence was left at the site.
