STAMPER, TEXAS. Stamper was on what is now the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway near Sweetwater Creek four miles northeast of Sweetwater in north central Nolan County, two miles south of the Fisher county line. A railroad station named for a division officer was established there about 1910. Stamper was found on early 1950s county maps but was not evident by the 1980s.
