CAMP NUECES (Nueces County). A Camp Nueces was established in 1842 in the Corpus Christi Bay area near Kenney's Fort in Nueces County, probably directly on Nueces Bay; the site is now in Corpus Christi. This camp, which was occupied in April and May 1842, may have been a secondary camp for nearby camps Everitt and Williams.
