ANTELOPE SPRING CREEK
ANTELOPE SPRING CREEK. Antelope Spring Creek rises twenty miles southwest of Hartley in south central Hartley County (at 35°41' N, 102°39' W) and flows seven miles south to its mouth on Pederosa Creek, just across the northern border of Oldham County (at 35°35' N, 102°38' W). The stream crosses flat to rolling terrain with clayey and loamy soils that primarily support mesquite and grasses. Antelope Spring Creek is in the heart of a vast ranching area, once part of the XIT Ranch's Rito Blanco Division.
