BLOOMFIELD BRANCH. Bloomfield Branch rises three miles northwest of Crystal Falls in northwest Stephens County (at 32°55' N, 98°57' W) and runs northeast for three miles to its mouth on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, near the Young county line (at 32°57' N, 98°56' W). The stream extends beneath steep to moderately sloping hills surfaced by shallow soils that support oak, mesquite, and grasses, to a rolling prairie surfaced by clay loams that support mesquite and grasses.
