BROWNS CREEK (Mills County). Browns Creek rises in central Mills County (at 31°36' N, 98°34' W) and runs south for fourteen miles to its mouth on Pecan Bayou, in the southern part of the county (at 31°27' N, 98°42' W). The terrain is flat with local shallow depressions and a surface of sandy and clay loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
