BUCK CREEK (Erath County). Buck Creek rises five miles south of the Palo Pinto county line in northeastern Erath County (at 32°27' N, 98°11' W) and runs north for fourteen miles to its mouth on Palo Pinto Creek, near Brazos in southern Palo Pinto County (at 32°38' N, 98°08' W). It crosses rolling prairie with clay loam topsoil that supports oak, juniper, mesquite, and grasses.
