BEAR CREEK (CHEROKEE COUNTY)
BEAR CREEK (Cherokee County). Bear Creek rises two miles west of Sycamore Grove Church in northern Cherokee County (at 32°07' N, 95°17' W) and runs southeast for eight miles to its mouth on Mud Creek, 1½ miles west of Gould (at 32°04' N, 95°11' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It crosses flat to gently rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports grasses and mixed hardwoods and pines.
