BUSH KNOB CREEK. Bush Knob Creek rises two miles west of Masters and six miles south of Throckmorton in south central Throckmorton County (at 33°06' N, 99°12' W) and runs northeast fifteen miles to its mouth on Elm Creek, at the Greathouse oilfield just west of the Young county line (at 33°10' N, 98°59' W). The stream runs through rolling hills surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, cacti, grasses, live oak, and juniper.
