BIG CREEK (JACK COUNTY)
BIG CREEK (Jack County). Big Creek rises in north central Jack County (at 33°27' N, 98°00' W) and runs southeast for twenty-one miles to its mouth on Lake Bridgeport, four miles west of Chico in western Wise County (at 33°17' N, 97°52' W). The stream is intermittent in all but its lowest reaches. It traverses generally flat terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
