BLUE CREEK (Cherokee County). Blue Creek rises just north of Mount Selman in north central Cherokee County (at 32°04' N, 95°17' W) and runs northwest for five miles to its mouth on Flat Creek, two miles northwest of Old Larissa (at 32°06' N, 95°20' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It crosses flat to gently rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports mixed hardwoods and pines and grass.
