BRUSHY CREEK (Rains County). Brushy Creek rises just west of Prospect Cemetery in central Rains County (at 32°54' N, 95°48' W) and flows southwest for eight miles to its mouth on Little Slough, two miles south of Dunbar Union Cemetery (at 32°47' N, 95°49' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
