CHERRY CREEK (EDWARDS COUNTY)
CHERRY CREEK (Edwards County). Cherry Creek rises in south central Edwards County (at 29°43' N, 100°20' W) and runs south for seven miles to its mouth on the West Nueces River (at 29°39' N, 100°23' W). The surrounding flat terrain with local deep and dense dissection is surfaced by shallow, stony soils that support oak, Ashe juniper, mesquite, and grasses.
