CLEAR CREEK (Brown County). Clear Creek rises four miles west of Brownwood in central Brown County (at 31°44' N, 99°05' W) and runs seventeen miles south to its mouth on the Colorado River, at the San Saba county line three miles southwest of Indian Creek (at 31°29' N, 99°03' W). The local rolling terrain is surfaced by clay loam that supports grasses and vine mesquite.
