COTTONWOOD CREEK (JONES COUNTY)
COTTONWOOD CREEK (Jones County). Cottonwood Creek rises one mile southeast of Funston and five miles east of Anson in east central Jones County (at 32°44' N, 99°47' W) and runs northeast eleven miles to its mouth on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, south of Lueders (at 32°48' N, 99°37' W). The creek traverses flat to gently sloping terrain surfaced by moderately deep to shallow silt loam soils that support mesquite and grasses.
