COUNTS CREEK. Counts Creek rises five miles northwest of Morgan Mill in northern Erath County (at 32°25' N, 98°15' W) and runs east for eight miles to its mouth on the North Paluxy River, 1½ miles east of Morgan Mill (at 32°24' N, 98°09' W). The creek passes through steep-sloped terrain surfaced by shallow, sandy soil that supports juniper, scattered oak, and grasses.
