COW CREEK (DUVAL COUNTY)
COW CREEK (Duval County). Cow Creek rises four miles northeast of Seven Sisters in northern Duval County (at 28°02' N, 98°29' W) and runs north for twenty-five miles to its mouth on the Nueces River, ten miles south of Tilden in north central McMullen County (at 28°19' N, 98°31' W). The creek passes through an area of low-rolling hills and prairies with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, cacti, grasses, and some mesquite.
