DRY BRANCH (CALDWELL COUNTY)
DRY BRANCH (Caldwell County). Dry Branch rises three miles north of Martindale in northwestern Caldwell County (at 29°55' N, 97°48' W) and runs southeast for 7½ miles to its mouth on the Clear Fork of Plum Creek, four miles southwest of Lockhart (at 29°52' N, 97°43' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain with steep margins, surfaced by deep, sandy clay loams that support oak, juniper, elm, and grasses.
