DRY CREEK (Wise County). Dry Creek rises a mile northwest of Chico in northwestern Wise County (at 33°20' N, 97°49' W) and runs southeast for 11½ miles to its mouth on the West Fork of the Trinity River, a mile southeast of Bridgeport (at 33°12' N, 97°43' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by deep fine sandy loam. For most of the county's history the area has been used as range and cropland.
