DRY CREEK (CALDWELL COUNTY)
DRY CREEK (Caldwell County). Dry Creek rises two miles west of the Lytton Springs community in northern Caldwell County (at 29°55' N, 97°32' W) and runs south for nine miles to its mouth on Plum Creek, three miles east of Lockhart (at 29°49' N, 97°35' W). It traverses flat to rolling prairie surfaced by shallow clay and sandy loams that support mesquite, mixed hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
