GOOSE BRANCH. Goose Branch rises at Lingleville eight miles northwest of Stephenville in west central Erath County (at 32°15' N, 98°22' W) and runs six miles southeast to its mouth on the South Fork of the Bosque River, four miles west of Stephenville (at 32°14' N, 98°17' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain with local escarpments, surfaced by deep, fine sandy loam that supports hardwood trees, conifers, brush, and grasses.
