HALLS BAYOU (HARRIS COUNTY)
HALLS BAYOU (Harris County). Halls Bayou rises southwest of the intersection of Frick and Kaltenbrun, in northern Houston in central northeastern Harris County (at 29°55' N, 95°28' W), and runs southeast for twenty miles to its mouth on Greens Bayou, on the southeast boundary of the Brock Park Golf Course, 4½ miles north of Jacinto City (at 29°50' N, 95°14' W). The bayou flows through flat to rolling prairie surfaced by sandy and clay loams mixed with dark, commonly calcareous clays that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
