HONDO CREEK (KARNES COUNTY)
HONDO CREEK (Karnes County). Hondo Creek rises five miles southwest of Kenedy in southern Karnes County (at 28°46' N, 97°52' W) and runs northeast for fifteen miles to its mouth on the San Antonio River, three miles east of Choate (at 28°47' N, 97°42' W). It crosses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
