HONEY CREEK (LLANO COUNTY)
HONEY CREEK (Llano County). Honey Creek, a spring-fed stream, rises three miles northeast of Oxford in south central Llano County (at 30°37' N, 98°40' W) and runs east for 14½ miles to its mouth on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson, directly across from Kingsland Lake Estates (at 30°40' N, 98°29' W). It traverses an area of the Llano basin with terrain that varies from flat to rolling to steep. Local soils are shallow and stony and support open stands of live oak and mesquite.
