HORSE CREEK (Hunt County). Horse Creek rises three miles southwest of Wolfe City in north central Hunt County (at 33°16' N, 96°06' W) and runs south for 10½ miles to its mouth on the Cowleech Fork of the Sabine River, just east of Greenville (at 33°08' N, 96°04' W). It drains an area of flat to rolling terrain surfaced by fine sandy loams and clay loams. The area has served as range and crop land. Water-tolerant hardwoods and conifers are common along the stream's banks.
