HENDERSON CREEK. Henderson Creek, also known as Sycamore Creek, rises a mile north of Vista near Little Round Mountain in southwestern Hamilton County (at 31°33' N, 98°12' W), and runs northeast for eight miles to its mouth on Cowhouse Creek, eight miles southwest of Hamilton (at 31°34' N, 98°07' W). The stream, which is intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses variable terrain surfaced by shallow, stony clay loams that support juniper, oak, grasses, chaparral, mesquite, and cacti.
