JONES CREEK (BRAZOS COUNTY)
JONES CREEK (Brazos County). Jones Creek rises near Millican in southern Brazos County (at 30°28' N, 96°11' W) and runs east for four miles to its mouth on the Navasota River, at the Grimes-Brazos county line (at 30°28' N, 96°08' W). The surrounding flat terrain has local shallow depressions and is surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
