KICKAPOO CREEK (SCHLEICHER COUNTY)
KICKAPOO CREEK (Schleicher County). Kickapoo Creek rises twelve miles north of Adams in northeastern Schleicher County (at 31°05' N, 100°17' W) and runs northeast for forty-six miles to its mouth on the Concho River, two miles west of Paint Rock in northern Concho County (at 31°31' N, 99°58' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain with local shallow depressions and steep slopes, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
