KICKAPOO CREEK (TRINITY COUNTY)

KICKAPOO CREEK (Trinity County). Kickapoo Creek rises near Josserand in central Trinity County (at 31°04' N, 95°09' W) and runs seventeen miles southeast to Livingston Reservoir near Onalaska (at 30°57' N, 95°05' W). It formerly ran twenty-six miles to its mouth on the Trinity River in western Polk County. The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support conifers, water-tolerant hardwoods, and grasses.
