LAS MORAS CREEK (MENARD COUNTY)
LAS MORAS CREEK (Menard County). Las Moras Creek rises seventeen miles southeast of Fort McKavett in southern Menard County (at 30°43' N, 99°49' W) and runs north for seventeen miles to its mouth on the San Saba River, two miles west of Menard (at 30°55' N, 99°48' W). The surrounding flat terrain has local deep dissections and is surfaced by shallow stony soil that supports oak, juniper, mesquite, and grasses.
