LITTLE PECAN BAYOU. Little Pecan Bayou rises three miles west of Cross Plains and just south of State Highway 36 in southeastern Callahan County (at 32°10' N, 99°15' W) and runs thirteen miles south to its mouth on Pecan Bayou (at 32°01' N, 99°14' W), two miles northwest of Burkett in northeastern Coleman County. The local terrain of rolling hills is surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, mesquite, cacti, live oak, juniper, and grasses.
